If you are anything like me, you take at least one picture every day and at this rate, you could end up with hundreds of new photos just sitting on your mobile device. Now, how often to do you print those pictures out? Most people hardly ever print or display the pictures they take and they end up living on computers and cellphones indefinitely.
I don’t print as many of my pictures as I used to since my kids have gotten older. When they were younger, I did a lot of memory keeping and created scrapbooks and art. If you want to do more with the pictures you are taking, I have a few suggestions:
Print 5 of your favorite images you took during the week. You can print these at home on some nice photo paper or you can send them to a local lab. Another thing you can do is save your favorite images in a folder on your computer until the end of the month, then send those pictures off and create a keepsake album. Either way, print them out!
Create a video of your images as a monthly review. Something as simple as a slideshow will work or you can use some of the online tools and apps to create a video:
If you are not printing a photo book monthly, consider printing one at the end of the year. This is something I wish I had done with all the pictures I have taken over the years. My pictures are nicely organized on my computer and external hard drives, but what is the likelihood I am going to look at those pictures? A printed book makes it easier to reflect on the year and they make great gifts for family members you do not see that often.
I hope you decide to print more of your pictures and I hope the resources above are a starting point for doing just that.
