Last week, some news came out about one of my favorite in-person events making a comeback in 2019. Hearing that news and seeing the excitement in my friends reminded me of how we met.
We found each other through our love of writing, memory keeping
It was our blogs that allowed us to find our people, our tribe(s) and our voices. My blogs (I have had many) allowed me to share my artistic side and tell my stories in ways I never did before. I started with memory keeping and discovered blogs on a website called Two Peas in a Bucket. I started my own and used it to share the pages I created. I also had a presence on Flickr and found so many liked minded photographers and creatives who taught me how to be a better storyteller through pictures.
I miss telling my stories and connecting with liked minded people in this way. Asha shared a great message about changing the world and using our platforms to do so. I am game for true storytelling without worrying about the analytics on the post or who read it or whether or not it was sponsored. Let’s just get back to writing, connecting and treating each other like we are all human and worthy of being loved and respected. You down for that?
